Great battery, a little heavy but overall a good choice
Battery is a little bulky, however for having double the battery life of the battery that comes with the phone it meets my needs. It also fits in most standard pouches (a little snug). If you are constantly running into the Battery Very Low message you'll enjoy this battery.
Lost its appeal over time...
Pros: Decent battery life (compared to the standard battery) and the size increase actually provides some protection for the camera lens.
Cons: Bulky (which is to be expected) and the battery door doesn't fit as snugly as it should.
Detail: I was quite impressed with this battery at first. The long life far outweighed the added heft that came with the battery. But over time I started to notice something odd. Every now and then I would find my phone powered off. It didn't bother me at first but now it happens several times daily. I've come to the conclusion that the problem is a slightly loose connection between the battery and the phone. The extra battery life was supposed to solve my biggest gripe about the phone. Now, the new battery has become the biggest problem. Switching back to the stock battery isn't really much of an option since it goes dead within eight hours. I'm now in the market for a different phone altogether.
hefty but worth it
Got this b/c running IMAP with IDLE all day long exhausted the stock battery too easily.
After one month seems to work as advertized, roughly double the juice.
But man it is gigantic. And I'm not entirely convinced that the charge reporting on my cingular8525 is very accurate when the charge is low. But haven't been spending much time at low charge, which was the whole point ...
Just hope it will have a good long overall life, at least 18 months. Well worth the price if so.
