Cute Hurricane Comfort For Kids
We live in a Hurricare area and have one almost every year. I have 2 small daughters who get very nervous when the power goes out so I got them each one of these cute piggy flashlights to help them get through it a little easier and to add a little bit of humor to a stressful situation...and it worked. They LOVE them. I like the fact that it has a wrist strap attached to it so they don't don't "lose" it when they fall asleep with them and wake up scared because there are no lights. Their Piggy lights are always close at hand thanks to the wrist strap! The LED lights work GREAT and give very good, bright light. Very cute also.....I give it 5 stars!!!
AWESOME!
i got one of these piggies very randomly, and they rock!! i took a piggy and a kitty out to burningman this year. the piggy's LED charge lasted at all night long one night - at least 7 hours 'on', although by the end the light was pretty weak.
unfortunately, both my kitty and piggy started to have some mechanical problems after several days of being used and tossed around. (the desert environment is often rough on things) i opened piggy up to see what the story was - oops! it is NOT made to be opened up, as some of the parts are tensioned in place and are just waiting to spring free. so, piggy loses a star for not being very resilient (the plastic switches are less than robust).
however, piggy gets a couple of honor points for being very ergonomic and super easy to 'wind up'. the LEDs are definitely super bright - they probably have some kind of lenses in front of them, as there's a good dispersal of the otherwise very directional LED light. i'm going to get my hands on more piggies and kitties for sure!
